Below is a short outline of our week (sometimes this may change due to timetable needs)

Monday- homework to be handed in on Tapestry. Children will have PE with Mrs Anderton on Tuesday, children to come in with their PE kit on.

Wednesday- homework is to be done between now and the following Monday.

Maths Focus	This half term we will be introducing comparing numbers, composition of numbers and 2d shapes.
	Children will carry on their phonics sessions. Children will be reading CVC words and using this to support their writing.
Writing Focus	Children will be listening to familiar and unfamiliar stories. Children carry on writing with CVC words and starting to write short sentences supported.
Topic -	Animals and their habitats. We will be travelling to the arctic, a woodland, deep into the ocean and to a world of minibeasts. We will learn about different climates and types of habitats, comparing them.
PE	On a Thursday afternoon we will be taking part in PE sessions. Please make sure that children have their PE kits on as they come into school.
Computing	Using ipads and programmable toys.
RE	We will be learning about special events.
	Completing homework – homework will be sent home on a Wednesday and should be returned on a Monday on Tapesty. Reading 5 times a week with your child Supporting your child in recognising numbers in the environment Contributing to your child’s learning journey on Tapestry
Learning Journey	During your child’s time in reception their learning will be captured through observations, videos and photographs and uploaded onto Tapestry. We appreciate that a huge amount of learning takes place at home and would really appreciate you uploading any special learning moments onto Tapestry.
