Welcome back to Spring 2, this term Year 4 will be practising and performing the Easter Service.
Our big focus is still learning all the times tables up to 12 x 12 as in June Year 4 will be taking the MultiplicationTimes Table Check (MTC). More information will be forwarded when it becomes available.,
Important Weekly Timetable
Monday - PE / Homework hand in day.
Tuesday -
Wednesday - Times Table practise check / Homework handout day.
Thursday - Swimming
Friday - Prayer and Praise Assembly

Outline of 'What is being Learnt'
Maths
Fractions and Decimals
English - The Giant that Stirred. A story about a village that maybe consumed by a Volcano, similar to Escape from Pompeii but in a more modern setting. The children will eventually write an adventure story.
Topic - We will carry on studying The Romans: The children will be learning about how the Romans became powerful for many years but then learn about their downfall. They will also learn about how they invaded Britain, what life was like in Roman Britain, Bouddica and the building of Hadrian's Wall
Science - Animal including Humans
RE -Easter and its importance in the Christian calender.
PE - Swimming / Netball
Please keep reading and get yourself on Year 4's Reading Challenge board. This will checked on a Monday. If you get a 100 reads one of the prizes is a Hot Chocolate.
Please help by practicing times tables (all upto 12's) as this not only helps us in our Maths but also for the Government Test that will take place in the Summer.
